Time has gone so fast since my short holiday in Ålesund! I can’t believe it’s been almost two weeks and I’m still blogging about it! Well, at least I can say that the beauty of Ålesund deserves to be documented no matter what – better late than never! 🙂
Our last stop before the airport was Aksla, the famous mountain and viewpoint in Ålesund. As my uncle said while driving up: “You cannot have been to Ålesund without going to Aksla”. Because of the lack of time, we decided to drive up instead of walking the 418 steps up to the platform and café at the top, but I’ll definitively have to try that next time! The stairs have been renovated recently, so it seems like a nice experience.
No matter how you get there, the panoramic view over Ålesund and the islands will not disappoint you…
//Beautiful view over the town center.//
//Fjellstua – restaurant, café and platform. Everything you need to enjoy your time up here!//
//That hand belongs to our guide (my uncle♥) pointing out places!//
//If you’re wondering why the rest of my family looks like they’re freezing to death it was just a windy day…//
//The view is beautiful from every angle!//
//The walk begins/ends here…//
Some city! Definitively one of the most beautiful cities in Norway, with its unique architecture and all its islands… A weekend spent on the West Coast cannot be anything other than a weekend well spent ♥
What do you think of the view?
Ever been to Ålesund?
