I live in a beautiful place. It actually took me a few years to begin to really appreciate the landscape in Hole and Ringerike – it just could not be compared to the arctic landscapes I grew up in.
However, the view from Kongens Utsikt (The King’s View) is nothing but amazing, although it’s only 441 m above sea level, and 380 m over the fjord. The path to Kongens Utsikt is relatively short, but some parts are steep enough, which makes it the perfect destination for a nice Sunday or afternoon walk in fresh air!
/We began our trip at Kleivstua, a beautiful mountain hotel and restaurant. You can begin the walk further down, at Sundvollen, as well, but at this point you’re already about half-way to Kongens Utsikt//
//The amounts of rain in Southern Norway have been insane lately… No mud-free shoes today!//
//”Ut på tur, aldri sur!”- Norwegian proverb ♥ Direct translation: “Out hiking, never mad!” Yep. We are all raised by this slogan.//
//Crazy Norwegian wood…//
//Ah, I adore her ♥♥//
//Hole, the municipality we live in//
//The rest of Hole in the front, and Ringerike (the municipality with the closest city centre, and also where we work) begins in the far back.//
//It’s pretty impossible to take perfect photos of us…//
//… or of the rest of the family, I guess! Hahaha ♥//
What do you usually do on Sundays? ♥
